car worth in scrap?

Hello

I have an old R reg clio works fine well doesnt always start but does when u put the time in to it. How much wouldi get for it scrap?

scrap values are going up at the moment, still doubt you would get more than £50 for it

so he got £450 for it in scrap, yeah right :-)

My scrappy currently pays £60 if you get the car to them or nothing if they have to collect

sell it on the bay,

I got 700 for an astra with a blown engine that was far from mint and had way over book miles - MINT low milage book value was 1200

got 500 for a 900 book value car I crashed (someone brought it for the seats)

and got 250 more for a would be insurance write off than the insurance were offering... (something like £1800)

just make sure you list ever scratch, dent and ding.... every mark and tear on the interior and clean it before its collected..

(sold other cars as well never had an issue)

it wasn't scrapped

the guy bought it off him and will probably be breaking it for parts or similar. The metals found in the car just arent worth £450

depends if you go to a small yard where your like a pub runnnig in or you are a known scrap person .

if they give you a decent price could top a ton. depends on which yard really.

My Dad scrapped an old R reg Escort and got £90 for it. I'd say you'd get around the same.

I got 95 notes for a stripped primera, it was a bare shell with just the rear axle and a scrap engine in the boot.I actually got £120 but had to pay someone to collect it.

Thats in the west mids tho, it maybe different depending on where you are.Personally i'd bang it on Ebay for £150 buy it now.
