Normal promotions are a week but this one may be a little longer. A Mod should clarify shortly.

Some people don't like these PSU's but my 500W ModXStream has been more reliable, so far, than my Corsair which costs 4 - 5 times more! :)

Thinking of getting one of these for my dad's build. I popped into a certain large competitor today & they had these for sale (no price on the shelf though - typical!) I picked the box up & it felt quite heavy for a PSU, which to me is usually a good sign of a good quality PSU, better than the makes you can buy from certain high street retailers. (especially for the price OCUK are selling them for)

What I want to know is are they quiet?

Only 3 Sata connectors  OK you can get adaptors but that's beside the point when PSU's in its original price range have 4.

BTW all he Does in the video is unbox it & gives a description & his experience of OCZ's RMA service, he's not fitted it in a rig, powered it up & showed us how noisy or quiet it is. 3 Year warranty on a PSU in this price range is good though.

yet OCZ website specifications confirm its three

Yeah I checked it on there before I posted my last comment to make sure.

I can't make my mind up whether to get one of these or the Corsair CX430. I just wish I'd bought a CX400 when they were on offer a month or so ago, but I didn't have a build planned back then. :(

It's in a Antec 1200 now and even when the case fans are on low you still can't hear the PSU fan :)

2 x modular cables with 3 SATA power connectors that's enough for 1 x optical and 5 HDD's ( you building a server?...LOL)
In my Antec I just use a molex>sata adapter to reach up to the top of the Antec... Siiimplessss

THIS IS FOR THE MODXSTREAM - modular cabled

Your just up the road from me Grimley (Mike) and your welcome to pop in a check it out :)

^^ Also got the 600w Modstream. Not the most fashionable brand of psu but mine has worked flawlessly for the last 6 months or so and is silent too. OCZ PSUs are great value for money imo.
