£1674 , a lot of money, but you dont lose much on lenses if you decide to sell, the old version second hand goes for about 1k+ now.

Not heard a bad thing about this lens, seems very very sharp, not that nice weather outside, so been snapping crap out of the window

how do you find the weight of it?

if you were using it as a walk about lens, do you think it would get too heavy?

its pretty heavy, nicely balanced though on 1dmk3, wouldnt like it hanging from my neck though !

excellent choice of lens. Hope you get a lot of use out of it. I'm 99 percent sure that will be my next lens along with the 1.4x extender for my work at the football.

Just checked my piggy bank I have £845 saved now. When I started saving they were over 2k. It's a ****er because for 3 years my workplace has been whinging because I don't do overtime. Now I'm trying to get OT to pay for this lens I can only get a day a month!

For the price you paid you won't lose anything on it really.
