So I wan't to try something new.

Are there any websites out there that allow me to enter in all the spirits etc I have and then come up with suggested recipes? If there isn't there should be! I'm not having much luck.

I know it's not exactly a cocktail as such -

'Mad Dog'

you will need:

shot glass (large)
Vodka
raspberry syrup
tabasco sauce

pour vodka into shot glass almost to the top, pour syrup slowly so it forms a layer at the bottom of the glass, add 3-6 drops of tabasco - this will settle also.

Knock it back in one (you cannot sip this one) and enjoy the warmth :)

I love this one from the Latin restaurant Las Iguanas

Passion fruit caipirinha
Ingredients
* ½ lime, cut into 6 wedges
* ½ tsp granulated sugar
* 2 tsp sugar syrup
* 1 passion fruit, pulp only
* 1-2 handfuls crushed ice
* 50ml/2fl oz cachaca
* slice passion fruit, to garnish

Preparation method

1.
Place the lime wedges, sugar, sugar syrup and passion fruit pulp into a tumbler glass and muddle (lightly crush). Add some crushed ice and stir well.

2.
Pour over the cachaca and stir again. Garnish with a slice of passion fruit and top with more crushed ice.

Most likely not exactly the same recipe to the one i've had but no doubt still nice, also i would suggest squeezing the limes before put them in the glass instead of just "placing" them in the glass.

Enjoy!

edit: i got it off the bbc food website http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/cocktails, also bbc good food looks good for recipes http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/content/recipes/favourites/cocktail/

2nd edit: I forgot this was in my favourites, it has over 19000 recpipes for drinks and cocktails!

Some good stuff here guys:p Had a bloody mary before dinner and now tucking in to what was a 'tangier tangerine'... But it was a bit grim so i added a lil bit of orange juice amd some grenadine. It's quite yummy now. I'm not sure if its because I used satsumas instead of tangerines... are they that different? It's just a bit.. tart. :)

Ahleckz I will give a whisky sour a shot later:) Got a nice bottle of JW black label ready...

Slutty Meg

In 1 pint glass
double bacardi
1 x bottle of blue VS
Blue bols for colouring

In a 2nd pint glass

double vodka
1 x bottle of yellow VS
Grenadine for colouring

Mix the two pints together, easiest to get a second pint glass, pour half of one into it then pour the other drink into each pint glass.

Get you ****** and tastes really nice! :)

Good lad! Make sure to include the egg, it really does make all the difference. The proper name when including the egg is a 'Boston Sour' but generally over here a whisky sour will have an egg in it. My very very easy recipe:
2 oz/60ml of whisky
Juice of half a large lemon, and juice it well! (more juice if you like it very sour)
Teaspoon of sugar.
Egg white from one egg. (Keep the yolks for something like hollandaise sauce)
Slice of lemon.
Cracked ice, ice cubes will do if you don't have cracked.

Throw the whisky, ice, egg, and sugar inside a cocktail shaker (glass is best, but if you only have a metal one then it works fine. Glass cocktail shakers are for purists and snobs - I'm the latter :p)
Shake eight times.
Drain into a glass.
Light a very large cigar.
Enjoy your evening.

Do what I do at cocktail parties. Take a glass and fill it with as many different spirits you can find. Top it off with a splash of orange juice.

Done!

I do this more due to the problem of me not knowing any cocktail recipes, but it all has the same end result except my way a bit quicker so whatever. :p
