Yes, and the whole point of a fancy dress party is fun. His idea of fun was to dress up as someone who was responsible for the death of 6 million people.
So we can't go take the mick out of anyone anymore?
If it was a Neo-Nazi party then yes I'd be worried but it's fancy dress, somehow though it's all taken seriously.
I can see where some people take offence as he's a council representative, but it's all a little too far to fire someone over it.
No, no it's not...Utterly stupid, it's comedy gold in true British tradition.
If nothing else it demonstrates poor judgement on his part. Whilst there are plenty of people around for who this is a bit of a laugh and ancient history, there are still an entire generation for who Adolf Hitler is responsible for untold misery.
Frankly it's not big and it's not clever...
No, no it's not...
bad taste? yes
but a sackable offence at a fancy dress party that has no bearing on his ability to do his job. i dont think so tbh. he should dispute it at a tribunal
Yes, yes it is. It's been a common theme in British comedy / farce for a long time, dads army, Ello Ello, Monty python, faulty towers and many many more have all poked fun at hitler over the years.
There's a difference between a comedy program poking fun at and satirising a reviled character and a council leadr who thinks it's clever to march around in jackboots, posts the photos on face book and then complains his privacy has been invaded.Yes, yes it is. I see where you're coming from. But the councilor wasn't poking fun at Hitler was he?
