E6600 vantage score seems too low

My mate has just got a 6870, done a bench on vantage, and got 13000 odd gpu score, with 4000 odd cpu score. end result was about 4000.

everything is at stock, but is the cpu score too low for an E6600? my Q6600 scores 32000. surely the difference shouldnt be that much for a chip that runs at the same speed

Doesn't vantage have multi-core support? I suppose if it does then you will get higher score with Q6600.

Your graphic card is doing all the physx work in the benchmark. AMD graphics cards do not.

Disable physx and run the bench again and see what your CPU score is then

Not only that, hyper-threading counts a lot too, reason only GPU tests are most used.
