Towel on the floor to stand on when you get out

Dry as much as I can in the shower, lob the towel on the floor, stand on it, dry feet, continue.

My missus thinks im weird as i don't get out of the shower to dry myself...I stay stood in the shower area to dry myself as i don't like the blast of cold air you get when you get out of the nice warm box you've made for yourself.

The missus will go lie on the bed to dry...i have to get pretty much dry in the bathroom then will get a dry towel and finish off in the bedroom...have to be completely dry before any clothing goes on i bloody hate it

I have a maroon dressing gown (wearing it right now), how is it different from a bath robe?

A bath robe is made from the same stuff as your towel.
A dressing gown is thinner and not very absorbant, made from felt/fleecey stuff, satin, silk etc...

I get out of the shower, quickly pat myself down with the towel, then go into the bedroom to finish getting dried, and dressed.

If I ever get dressed in the bathroom, the humidity just makes all my clothes feel horrible, and stick to me, and I can never get dry enough first.

Plus - once you're out of the bathroom, it leaves it free for others to go in, whilst you get dressed.

My missus gets dried/dressed in the bathroom - and it annoys me because it means I can't get in there!

I tend to dry myself in the bathroom, the go to the bedroom to get dressed.
Lying on the bed to dry off seems like you didn't want to leave bed in the first palce and don't mind fungal growth from wet bedclothes.

I would say one is a dressing gown and the other is less straight.
