Time to upgrade? £250 budget

If you have £250 to spend might be waiting till November to see what the 69xx are like, good chance you can pick one up for about that price.

Really? I was expecting them to be over the £300 mark... Has there been any official pricing info released yet?

Who knows, im hoping they will be around the £270 mark myself which would put them in as replacements for the 5850/5870 but time will tell.

What i expect, tho obviously i have as much idea as the next guy (zero) is the 6950 to be around £250-270 and the 6970 to be around £300-320. Either way OP has a month to save up a lil extra scratch for his purchase.

Seeing as the current crop are £135 and £175 respectively I would be surprised if AMD did not release another graphics card in the £235 to £250 segment.

I would wait until November but a 6870 would do you nicely with that PSU.

lol, if that is the case, I and AMD really don't know anything about business.

Well, it looks like this has already been disproven :D

We've already known for a long time that the 6800s were going to be successors to the 5770, NOT to the 5850.

The 6870 is cheaper than a 5850, much more energy efficient and hardly any slower.
