I raced a BMW M6 and my EVO kept up!

This season I have race and beaten Scoobys, Evo's, A TT Supra, a Westfield with bike engine, VR6 track prepped Golf, 205 (with Mi16 engine or whatever its called), Morgan +8, Skyline, a range of Beemers, etc. Mine are for real though ;)

Lovely motor, I have a 6, i'm on MLR same user name. I had the pleasure of driving a X a while back, stunning performance with unbelievable grip they just never let go do they.

Yep the handling of it is something else, but they do let go. :D

They perform best with ASC set to half off or full off, otherwise with full on the car kinder limits how hard it will let you push. :)

Basically the older EVO's had no need for ASC and neither does the X, its just an added feature which does a very good job. :)

Fair play, I dont want to know what entry speed it took for it to let go.

Are you going to tune it at all? Will you be doing it yourself or using a tuning company?

I only say as if your using a tuning company be careful where you take it. I've read a few maps off evo's, skylines and subaru's and been shocked at how little has been done, some are just dangerous. If done properly even the 360 will see good gains from a mild stage 1. Its all in the ecu map with evo's. I've got 394/386 out of mine with cams, 3 port solenoid, panel filer, decat and my own ecu map. You should easily see that out of yours.

When I do it, I shall be using TRL.

What I will go for is a Stage 1.5 which consist of new turbo elbow (spools turbo 500rpm earlier, thats peak torque at 3000rpm :D), downpipe, full exhaust system and new fuel pump. Then a remap. The results vary from car to car, one can expect to hit around 405-415BHP with circa 420-440lb/ft of torque. So its a good 40-50BHP more with upto 80lb/ft more and results in circa 2MPG fuel economy too. :)

Just gotta get it done, its if I want to lay down £2500 or not and or whether I want to consider getting the conrods done and maybe aiming for 450-500 horses from it. :D

I once kept pace with a Murcielago while driving a Fiesta.

Well, we were both doing 70mph on the motorway, anyway.

Even when he pulled away he was only going about 5mph faster than me! I could have caught him up if I'd wanted to!
