This happened about a week ago, and its got me thinking.
Normally when I sleep I do dream and I do remember them.
On this particular morning I was asleep, and without comming round or stiring, I woke up, the last thing i remember ( which was right out of the blue as I wasnt dreaming about it ) was a woman saying to me " sorry the cancer has spread and there is nothing we can do ", then instantly i woke up ( just woke up right as rain not sleepy or nothing )
I know its only a dream but it freeked me out a bit, and its not asif there is a NHS cancer scan unit for dreams is there.

Thouights ?

I think the best one is when you dream about someone that you see regularly but never actually notice, say someone on the same commute as you, then you see them after the dream and notice them. Those moments are always fun.

You say you weren't dreaming about it because you don't remember it, but it's likely that you had a full-on dream but only remembered the very last bit that woke you up. It's particularly common when part of a dream causes you to wake suddenly. I get it quite a lot - I'll wake up ith my heart racing in the dead of night, and remember only the very end of a dream or sometimes nothing but the feeling I got from it.

Suggestions to go to your GP revolve around the belief that dreams contain elements of prophecy. If you believe that, or you're not sure either way, what can you lose by checking it out? Of course, telling your GP that you want to get checked out for cancer because you had a dream may lead to issues. Your choice, really.

I once dreamed about a goblin who lived down a bridle path running out the back of the Blue Lion that lured old ladies with mars bars.

True story.

Went to the cinema with a friend from my primary school in his dad's 'post lottery win' newly brought Rolls Royce. We managed to take up 5 parking spaces and found it hilarious. Then when getting out pre-film snacks one of my friends, who was a fitness instructor at my uni gym, was working there and throwing over priced candy canes at me.

I've also dreamt I ended up going to Scottland which was '5 minutes' drive to buy my friend an 'ankle cravat' for her birthday. There was a pensioner trying some on in those low level mirrors they have for when trying shoes on.

I do have some gems.

Bad news - you're already dead. You died of cancer 6 months ago. Everyone here is just a figment of your imagination. You have to make restitution for your errors in life, then you can go to heaven.

Go check it out, no harm in having a check up. Just to have your mind at rest.

I also dreamed of this http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/4520430.stm happening 2 days before the event.

I was walking in the countryside when i saw explosion then mushroom cloud on the horizon. Then 2 days later i could see a huge cloud looming over London.

Coincidence.

Your brain is designed to spot patterns, so you draw a link between the two events, because it suits your brain to do so.

Can't be as bad as dreaming about going into a fancy hotel in Norway, lying on the bed, and suddenly a suit of armour breaks into the room and squeezes you balls painfully hard.

And you can actually feel it.
