Anyone ever had this??

Just had to drink a litre of the stuff for an MRI scan, hollyyyy hell it tastes absolutely disgusting, its like drinking salty lemon water...its also a laxative! My poor toilet

I almost puked at the end of the drinking the 1 litre, vile vile stuff. If you havent ever drank it, lucky you...

nope, never drunk it.
I have had an F-MRI though, and a traditional MRI however.

I recommend putting some bog roll in the freezer for a couple of hours to sooth the burning afterwards.

ouch i feel for you, a few years ago I had to drink 4 litres of something called Klenprep,
prob quite similar, and it tasted horrid, and never mind your poor toilet,
your should be worried about your poor bum

What's the purpose of drinking it? Is it to show digestion flow or something?

Edit: never mind, just found this...

MOVIPREP is a lemon flavoured powder contained in four sachets. There are two large sachets ('Sachet A') and two small sachets ('Sachet B'). You need all these for one treatment.

You are taking MOVIPREP to make your bowels clean so that they are ready for examination. MOVIPREP works by emptying the contents of your bowels, so you should expect to have watery bowel movements.

My daughter is on 2 sachets of Movicol per day (down from 4) It looks to be similar, I have to keep a close eye on her when making a cup of tea as she likes to switch mugs for a laugh lol

Is that one of these electrolyte things? Sort of like Drain-O for your bowels?

I once had a barium meal x-ray, that sucked. Hell of a dump after that one. Nearly cracked the toilet.

Didn't someone write on here once they had to take them sachets one day for an op, said its was the worst experiance of his life, turned his arse in-side-out, then found out he got the wrong day for his op so had to do it all again lol

It was originally a post on a bike forum and it was really well written. You can probably find it by searching for agent picolax in google. I can't look for it at as I am at work at the mo but if you find it post it up to help everyone understand what you are going through op!

Had this recently it was so bad I demanded picolax instead. I was puking just trying to down it. It really is like drinking sea water. Poor guy
