I have just finished moving my old Q6600 over onto the P5Q Deluxe MB. Bios can clearly detect the drive, and it worked fine and managed to install from the Windows 7 DVD no problem at all, but now that I can get into Windows, it's not showing the drive at all. As far as I know, optical drives don't need driver to work, and even if it does, Windows should at the very least pick up the existence of the drive. This drive worked perfectly fine with my previous motherboard, which was the MSI P6N SLI V2.
I was also told Sony branded drives can be quite picky when comes to pairing with other hardware/motherboard...anyone know what I need to do to get windows to pick up the drive?
