Just read the last page of the supplement thread and saw people discussing the use of supplements to give them the energy to get out of that lethargic zone.

Im in that zone right now. My energy levels are incredibly low and have been for about 7+ months.

I need something to release the good feeling (not weed lol) thought id raise a thread on something specific.

The lads in that thread were talking about J3cked and some other stuff.

What supplements would you peoples recommend for energy?

I wouldnt take it day to day but probably once or twice a week.

I want to start working out and exercising but my mind is in a state where the thought of it makes me tired and sleepy

just get working out. you will start releasing natural endorphins that will spur you on.

jeez :(

What, you think that if we suggest drugs to you, they will motivate you to go out and exercise?

No, you'll still be sat at home, your heart will just be going at double it's normal rate and your blood pressure will be higher.

People that use these supplements have been exercising for a long time already and nailed their diet and routine and just need that extra kick, it's not for beginners

If youve been lethargic for that long then somethings amiss somewhere else in your life be it diet, sleep patterns, illness etc. slapping a load of stimulants on top of it will only make you feel much much worse when you crash after a few hours. Their called supplements for a reason they supplement an already healthy lifestyle

You have to exercise as well, you realize. Then your body will naturally produce more energy (from the food you eat). If your body does not require the energy, why would it make it? So start exercising and get those mitochondria working ;)

I just said energy based supplements to use whilst im out exercising! Jeez!

You don't need energy supplements, nor would I advise chomping on glucose tablets.

Eating well and exercise alone should be enough, and if you're feeling sleepy after exercise, you're obviously not working hard enough or have an underlying problem.

Edit: Not saying you shouldn't feel knackered at the end of a session, but you shouldn't feel sleepy.

I was going to reply with some suggestions but you seem to think that they're a fix/complete source of energy. If you're tired eat, sleep & rest more.

You mention wanting to start working out which would suggest that you currently don't and therefore don't need to waste cash on pre work out supps.

It'd be like Joe Bloggs buying some running spikes for his local jog round the park or buying a lycra swiming suit for his 10 lengths a week. It'd be wasted and make no difference what so ever.

Chomping down glucose tablets all day is going to be spiking your blood sugar levels like crazy resulting in troughs and periods of fatigue once they have worn off which probably explains why you're so tired.

coffee and lots of it gets me out of my lethargic zone - in particular before exercising :)

seems to work well

used to drink lots of Coke, I now have managed about 12 months with zero fizzy drinks (apart from Beer)
