Upgrade my PC

Manually look - I've never heard of software that can tell you

That said, I wouldn't be surprised if it existed xD

Thanks for clearing that above post up, was getting a little worried there that I was just getting basically the same build with a better gfx haha

is there not any labeling on the psu?

there should be a voltage and wattage chart on it, but there must be some sort of make and model somewhere?

Cheer's matey. Been a bit too much sniping on here lately.

OP, if you remove the two screws holding your sidepanel on you should see the label for the psu telling you what wattage and what it delivers on the 12v rails. If you could post what it says we can see if it's enough for a new graphics card. Does your bios have any settings that allow you to increase the fsb at all?

I agree with pasty, while a new system is all well and good, its a very expensive choice.

Once the PSU has been identified we can recommend a suitable graphics upgrade (as you say gaming is your primary use). A friend of mine just upgraded to a 5770 in his cheap Dell machine and the PSU was more than up to it. A nice upgrade from the 9800GT he had before and for a great price considering the performance gain.

Also, what resolution is your monitor?
