Just had a little scare the other night when I went to use my flat bench. Sat down on the edge and lifted my dumbells to begin and felt the bench move back to front in a rather wobbly motion!

Turned it over and checked all the bolts - 4 of 10 were coming loose :o

Here endeth Psymonkee's safety reminder!

Somebody forget their aniversary and the wife a bit peeved so tried some tactical vengeance?

On a serious note, it is always a good idea to check out the equipment before (and after in some cases) a workout depending on the machine etc to see what condition its in, either if something just needs tightening or is starting to show signs of wear and should be replaced/repaired before the next use.

I've had a few accidents at home. The most recent was after I had finished doing leg extensions on some cheapo bench I have. I completed my set and forgot about all of the weight on the end, resulting in the bench flipping up as I got off it and the metal parts which holds the bar for BB hitting me in the back. Huge bruise and hurt for days! :o
