One thing that will work is the L-glutamine. It totally owns DOMS if you take it correctly. I did about 5grams 10-15 mins before breakfast, dinner and bed. If you take it with food the other amino's compete and it looses out so less/none isn't absorbed. DOMS are much less intense/painful and disappear quicker.

Not tried glucosamine myself but it is raved about.

What I used to do is put it in a pot beside my bed and then just tip water into it and neck it before I jumped in the shower in the morning :)

That's pretty much gonna be my plan my good man! :D

Think I used to put the pot on my phone after setting my alarm as a couple of times I forgot and then when I came out the shower realised.

There was an interesting thread about L-glutamine over on Myprotein forums about things it has to do with boosting natural HGH and other good stuff. Think it's stickied actually if you head over there.
 
L-Glut is a great supplement for DOMS. I usually just take mine in my protein shake and have never had any problems doing this.

Glucosamine is good too - especially when combined with chondroitin.
 
It's not combined mate - it IS contained within.

Whey breaks down into amino acids in the sto0mach - of which L-glut is one.

I think Bennys saying that quite a few also come with extra added L-Glut on top of the normal amount found within whey
 
right guys my supps arrived last week but ive not had time to use them.

Bic3p, should i use both Jack3d and State GT together? or 1 at a time? or can someone else help with the above query, my initial plan was to use 1 for a month, then move onto the next one.

not going to use the cissus until ive seen orthopaedics specialist, hopefully get an appointment within the next 2 weeks.

the rest was just multi vits and oils.

the milk thistle should help my liver, i'll need to read up a bit more about it.
 
What was your primary need from the Pre wo supp sonny ?

If it was lethargy I'd start with the Jack3d and see how that goes, and if it doesn't give you the kick you need, move on to State GT.

I'm using Jack3d atm after experiencing some fatigue/lack of motivation, it's really hitting the spot for me.

yeah energy and motivation really. i was mainly feeling down before getting ready for a workout, unlike when im getting ready for boxing/football i feel pumped the adrenaline flows freely.

how many scoops do you take, im going to start with 1, but i realised if you have to up it to 3, 1 container only gives you 15 servings, which is extremely poor value for money.

im just going to stick with 1.

how long before a workout do you take it? some people have a reaction with 15 mins others is up to 45 mins, so im just trying to figure out whats optimal.
 
I started with 1 scoop but didn't really feel much with it, had 1 and a half on weds and I was feeling extremely energetic within 20 mins or so, so I just went straight into my gym then.
 
The trick is NOT to use the pwo supps for every workout. This quickly leads to a caffeine tolerance (the product stimulant source), thus requiring more prouct for similar effect. Use it 2 - 3 times per week at most and you should be fine.
 
Depends on the supplement, i find jack3d for that kick up the backside if things are lagging, but normally i take no shotgun/sp250 as they aren't stimmed to the eyeballs.

L-glutamine is questionable, as already said a good whey blend kind of negates the need.

Mp have just started selling d-aspartic acid, which for me is a great natty test booster, it's a simple amino acid but for me does a very good job.

Today on the quads machine i was maxing it out at 115kg and still felt i could have gone futher, so for me that is a better product to go for. Naturally some respond better than others.

Cod liver is a given and is staple, coq10 is debatable at best.

The most important supplement is food, and lots and lots of it, along with quality training and sleep, half of these supplements are questionable at best.

Glucosamine/msn is good for the joints, even better when used along with cissus, i used to get a twinge in my lower back, never injured it just something about squats would set it off, but thanks to cissus it's much reduced so as you can imagine i love the stuff.

Both bro, j4cked is a pre workout pump product imo, state gt isn't. Even tho state gt is a pre-workout forumla it's not for the pump!

Imo with state gt you should notice a lot more endurance, ability to workout longer n harder.
 
Only supplement I take is a protein shake in the morning as I'm in too much of a rush to cook a big breakfast and some omega-3 tabs.
People on here seem to be buying way too much into all the marketing out there.

so im going to do 1 at a time, my supplements will last longer (expensive stuff) and i can hopefully compare the 2 against each other this way to see which is more effective.

im starting with jack3d.

The 3 you listed are pumps. State GT isn't a pump product itself. It's a pre-workout supplement tho yes, but I use it simply for it's great effect of giving me lots of energy endurance etc.
