Help guys please. It's the part right at the beginning were the executioner slices the guys head off (the one who gave us our pistols). At that stage I only have 10 or so bullets, my partner has about 20. We can't even manage to kill all the weaklings first, because we both run out of ammo and the most ridiculous part is I can't even use my machete? Another thing is, am I right in thinking I can only melee once I have shot them first? This is pretty ridiculous they sure don't give you many other options besides guns, especially since when he punches they fly a couple of metres back lol.

I really don't want to put the game away, but I just can't figure out what I can do? I've tried pushing the drawer on front of the door and the other on front of the window, it gives a little time, but what is the point when I am out of ammo?

As stated before. Shoot gas tanks and electrical boxes on the lamps/posts. You do not have to kill him, just hold off till back up arrives. If you need help i can do co-op and lend you some ammo/get you past that part.

You don't have to kill him. Didn't you pay attention to the plot? There's somebody on his way to come and get you, you've just go to stay alive until he gets there.

Use your ammo on the weaker ones, and just run around in circles avoiding the big-guy for 5 minutes or so, and a cut-scene will kick in.

Haha I passed it, by just running around :D. I'm at the second place where this blonde chick gets turned into one of them or whatever, she ended up killing me, as I only had 1 bullet. Is ammo always going to be this scarce? I find more shotgun bullets than pistols when I don't even have a shotgun yet :(.

It differs with the ammo, it should take at least 2-3 shots max to kill someone if you do it right. 2 shots to the leg which drops them then perform a kick on them and if they are still down, stab them.

Yeah I seem to average at a round 3 shots per mutant. Okay I found a shotgun in the old house which required a key to get in, loaded up with the ammo I had. All in all I had six shotgun shells, used them all on the blonde freak, aiming mostly at her chest and head, yet she didn't die, I then had to use my pistol that had 10 bullets to kill the weaker ones. Is she close to dying or have I got a whole lot more?

I don't understand your last question. Anyway it's better to play the game with a human co-op buddy instead of your AI because she can't aim for crap, eats through ammo and is generally ****.

I think it's a game where you have to adapt to the conservative play style- think strategic, tactical and be shrewd with ammo.

You can shoot 'norms' in the leg and then run over and execute them with an uppercut/hook/headstomp etc. Bullets will go through several zombies. Use choke points and close up shotgun blasts.

Ammo is dropped by zombies and there are tonnes of breakable items/not obvious locations where goodies are stored.

I think the AI character is a bit trigger happy and always seems to be low on ammo but playing with other people I think is the way forward.

(p.s. the executioner dude can be easily avoided by running out and up the stairs, jumping on top of the bus where he won't follow; then just pick a side and melee off and norms that climb up, picking off distant lepers with your careful pistol headshots :)

I'm playing the game teensie bits at a time at the moment- looking forward to the story unveiling yet more cheesey script :p

This game is actually pretty easy if you get used to the Tank-control mechanics and memorise where each enemy pops out from (It's scripted and a set amount every time).

And as mentioned before, the Executioner at the beginning is easy to avoid if you cannot kill it. Just go inside the burn't out bus that is in the middle of the stage and wait it out until the chopper arrives. Only normal Majini can go in, so you and your partner can easily defend, whilst the Executioner cannot go in, so it's kind of an exploit. He can still swing his axe and it goes through the walls which can hit you, so watch out for that.

And yes, ammo is pretty scarce and the amount of shots on an enemy to kill them depends on the difficulty level. This is still technically Survival Horror, so it's all about strategic play. Headshots or shoot the limbs of the leg or knee, then run up and melee attack. Melee attacks are actually quite powerful in this game and there are a few different ways to do it.

What console do you have this game on, as I am sure some of us who still play could easily help you out if needed, and a real life co-op partner most of the time is better than the crappy A.I.

Whom ever completes 2-3 solo on Professional deserves the Platinum. I have never sworn so much at a game until I played that chapter :o

I found that doing that chapter solo is actually easier than doing it with a real life partner. I only died 3 times solo whereas with a real partner, it was enough for me to give up and rage quit.

I also found this game very hard at first but after some practise its very easy.

I've got S rank on easy, normal and vet so far, not attempted professional yet, just done the odd one. I'm going to go for S rank on that as well.
