Hi Guys,

Am currently looking for a 2.0 speaker setup to be used mainly for music, but for games also.

Are there any out there that you guys would recommend?

Currently got my eyes on the Gigaworks T40 Series 2, but am open to siggestions. I'm looking for a rich music experience without breaking the bank, as audiophile as I can get!

Then I would say get down to RS or peruse Egay and get a seperate amp and speakers.

You can get a Cambridge Audio A1 VERSION 3 amp and a pair of Q-acoustic bookshelf speakers from RS. for £100 and it will simply blow those gigaworks away. You can even get the above amp and add the eltax speakers for a total of £70!, although its worth the little extra and it will still be better.

You mostly listen to audio. Pc speakers are just what they are. Pc speakers. I made the move earlier this year to a marantz pm6300 amp and Q-acoustic 2010s and I would never ever go back.

I had no idea you could get a Cambridge Audio setup for such good money!
I have a spare pair of Acoustic Solutions bookshelf speakers to keep me going till I can buy some higher end speakers. Sounds like a plan!

Am I right in saying Bose speakers process the audio, so if you have a dedicated sound card, it won't use the hardware making it redundant.

Yes, as they're USB they take the raw digital signal and process it themselves internally.
