Nothing wrong with learning, especially at a meet like this - I'm sure the more 'manual minded' photographers will be happy to give you a tip or two

I hope so, the whole point of buying this camera apart from the size is that I have finally decided to try and move from auto mode.
Im thinking of using manual as opposed to Tv/Av/P as if I can go through the steep learning curve/pain of getting my head around it, then I will take better photo's for it..

I'll be bringing a small tripod, some ND grad filters to play with and 16-35mm for the day. Does anyone have a fisheye - canon fit?

All my kit has arrived for sat, got a cheapie redsnapper tripod with bag and a sheet of welding glass which stops the light down 14 times, hoping to do a lot of daytime long exposures

Is it fine if I tag along at the kings cross meetup as it'll be the station I'll be arriving in too.

Well to be fair, he would be getting shots that no-one else was! I'm pretty sure a shot he took with that did well in in the contemporary city comp. (I might be wrong though!).

Kings cross is the end of the line, so all the platforms meet at the same point, so I suggest we meet in that no mans land between the waiting area and the platforms.
