I liked the Cube pad, the x and y buttons weren't perfect, but otherwise it was excellent, although why there was a lack of a fourth shoulder button I have no idea.

Edit: Went to google the wavebird controller to see what was cool about it, just seems like a bulkier version of the standard gamecube controller?

I did have this

Got it one xmas and it was amazing, use to hammer at NES Open Tournament Golf on the NES, think it was bin or sold, wish I had kept everything from my youth

Tough one for me, I like the DS3 but i'd probably say the DS2 was the most comfortable of the lot.

Oddly I liked all the NES and GC controllers but hated the N64 controller with a passion, nasty tacky uncomfortable little piece of plastic.

As for the XBOX, I think the 360 pad is okay but I still prefer the DS3.

Nintendo invented the d-pad, brought analog sticks to the mainstream and pioneered their use in 3D games, brought in dual analog, and were first with motion control. Score.

The Gamecube pad was great. The 360 pad is the best by a country mile, unless your thumbs are spasticated, in which case go go Sony controller.

I've always liked the Playstations controllers, why all the hate?

The placement on a 360 controller (especially the sticks) just feels more natural to me. And its way more suited to those of us with bigger hands, feels a lot more comfy.

Its a bit wierd, People were fine with the design when it was the only option. Then the 360\Xbox S-pad came along and people started to hate the PS pad.

I mean dont get me wrong, 360 pad is great and so is the S-pad, and i understand the love for something until something better comes along, but what i find silly is how its gone to such a black and white place. Now something better has come along all of a sudden the PS3 pad is horrendous and steals babies for food. Rather than just being surpassed yet still be fine and useable.

Im actually of the opinion that the PS3 pad is better for most games, where as the 360 pad is better for just FPS games.
