Limewire is dead !

Audio Galaxy, Napster and now Limewire.. the RIAA sure does move quickly at stamping out these naughtys. :D

Quickly?

On a side note does the RIAA think the entertainment biz will see an increase in takings now Limewire is no more? I'd like to see their figures... As far as they are concerned every track, tv show, movie or game pirated is a lost sale. Like every pirate would buy what they download for free lol

It's not even a cat and mouse game, the RIAA just finds the rotting corpses of old, disused P2P systems and gobbles them up, whilst proudly proclaiming that it is combating piracy.

For those that don't read /b/

lol limewire

Guess thats one less thing to worry about when cleaning up peoples pc's after they have infected them.

I used it! And Skreemr's gone in the past week too. Bad times. Torrents are all well and good, but the aforementioned two made it a lot easier to get single tracks.

PS. All of this is legit - we use a lot of individual tracks in wedding videos which are copyrighted for their use afterwards.

"Let's punish the RIAA by calling up small businesses such as pizza delivery places and get them to waste their time and money delivering food they won't get paid for. That will REALLY show the RIAA not to mess with the little guys!"

Still quite funny. :p

I used it once. Every XXX flick I downloaded had artificially added DRM that wanted me to pay some company so I could view it (and they defo didn't make the vids).

:o

or was that eDonkey? Can't remember; both are ****.
