What unpopular opinions do you hold?

I think that going out every weekend and binging until you're in an uncontrollable state is a waste of a life. Unfortunately 90% of Scotland disagrees!

There's more to life than alcohol and getting rat arsed.

that people who wont and live on benefits should not be able to buy luxury items such as cars mobile phones and have access to the internet sky tv ect

I do not believe that dyslexia, OCD, ME, Synaesthesia or IBS effect the vast majority of people who claim to be afflicted by them.
Hysteria is rife.

I believe people who think they are channelling spirits, seeing ghosts, or talking to the dead should tested for mental illness, (if this is for money then they should be arrested for theft)

I believe that criminals in Her Majesties Service should repay their crimes by becoming slave labour.

We have plenty of oil left, many many decades before it's going to anywhere near a crisis point and even then we'll be OK for a while.

Bring back a lot of things from the Victorian times. Workhouses for the work shy, discipline in schools, children should be seen an not heard, a strong will to do things regardless (like build railways) with NIMBYs or committees.

Not everything even I'm not that draconian. ;)

I don't want the NHS wasting money on things like boob jobs and gastric bands. Save the money for more needy people.

Actually I'll shut up now as my popularity here could do with not going any lower... :D

Saw this over on Reddit and thought I'd bring it over here. What opinions do you hold that over 90% of the public would disagree with? For example, I think that the Iraq war was entirely the right thing to do, and that Tony Blair was a fantastic PM. Fairly sure most people disagree with that nowadays, but can't help think it nonetheless.
Let's not derail the thread with debate tho: just tell us your really unpopular opinions.
Can't agree with you on Tony Blair though. Whilst I'm sure he did what he thought was right, his party is the wrong colour :p.

I think Saddam Hussein was not a nice man, and removing him as leader of Iraq was a good thing.
I support Fox Hunting.

I kind of agree with this as it seems to be trendy to have something like that, although I think it is allergies and intolerances that tend to be more trendy and easier to get away with. I also agree that Dyslexia seems to be a good excuse for being a little below average intelligence - it isn't!

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (formally Myalgic Encephalitis) is a little harder to fake as is true OCD but I am sure people do.

Synaesthesia is just plain odd and as a genuine Irritable Bowel Syndrome sufferer (with diagnosis from a consultant) I can't see why anybody would fake it. It sucks.

But overall I do feel faking illnesses is an increasing issue.

Dyslexia and OCD I'll agree with but having a GF that suffers from IBS, I doubt anyone would want to admit to it, it's pretty awful.

If you truly have OCD I doubt you'd freely admit to that as well. However your right about IBS it's just plain embarrassing and uncomfortable. .

Maybe that ones more of a proffesional noticing, but I work with a lot of women and all I ever hear when they are bloated (cause they dont eat right or exercise) is I have IBS.
Really annoys me.
