Looking for a heart beat monitor

I plan to do a project using the bpm of hearts and was wondering if anyone knew of a heart monitor that can directly log data to a PC in real time most of the ones I have come across so far seem to save the data on their flash memory then you have to upload it to a PC later on and thats no use for me as I wish to run real time logs into visual basic or something similar so any recommendations would be appreciated

What type of device exactly are you looking for? I've seen pulse oximeters that can record onto pc's for around £200.

any will do really clip , belt or watch just as long as I can plug it into a PC and get real time logs from it like this

but I thought pulse oxymeters was just for reading oxygen in the blood?

this is the best thing ive came across so far it works with most chest belts but the data is recorded on the watch which is a bummer
