Car listed as above on Autotrader. Have done a HPI check against it and it comes back all clean, has had 2 previous owners which doesnt seem too bad, 69,000 miles with Cambelt + Aux + water pump replaced at 63,000. Has a full cat back milltek stainless steel exhaust in place of the crappy factory one that most likely fell off. Cup pack for wheels + spoiler? but not the suspension.
Has a 12 month MOT but currently has no tax, asking price on the advert is £3895, now that for a start will knock some off the price, how low do you think you can reasonably knock this down to?
I'm going to view tomorrow midday, with my HPI check I get a 7 day free driveaway service but I would probably get myself insured straight away without bothering with that, in the view of going back later on in the week if it seems good with the monies.
Whats the deal with the tax, if we come to some nogitiation on price can i get the current owner of the vehicle to get the tax done before the V5 is transferred over to me, before i would drive it back home?
Any help is much appreciated, first real private sale bar my last car which is a heap , 97 clio 1.4.
