Hi, does anybody have access to the wiring diagram for a Mk2 Mondeo V6.
I am after details of the wiring to the alternator.
The alternator obviously has the main battery feed.
It also has a multi-plug with 3 wires, and a second plug with one wire. These are all thin wires (~1mm diameter).
I noted today that the 1mm wire on it's own doesn't locate securely into the socket since the plastic locating lug is missing.
The previous owner had a new alternator fitted around 15k miles back so I imagine it was damaged in the process.
Just wondering what this wire is for?
Also, how do you think I should secure the wire?
The text book way I guess would be to obtain a new plug or a length of cable with the plug on from a scrap yard and solder. Can I put a dab of superglue on the plastic connector, quickly locate in the socket and allow to dry? Would this be reliable?
TIA!
