N8 or N900

It's just that more people are talking about the N900 than the N8. So does that mean that the N900 is a better phone?

The N900 is not a good phone. Its software is fairly bland and unsupported by Nokia, its hardware is nothing special. (I have one)

The N8 is exactly the same, but it has a very good camera. Other than that, its bad.

Dont buy either of them. There are plenty of far better phones unless you NEED a very good camera, which you obviously dont, as you are considering the N900 :p

If you ignore this advice and want to think they are both amazing in your own little bubble, then get the N8 :(

Don't live in bubble, and nice to know your advice is so fantastic.

Just wanted to know which phone of these two was better. I'll probably plumb for an iphone though if I can drop on one for the right money.

Don't get either.

Although as other have said, the N8 is better out of the two.

I had the N97 and it was DIRE.

There are so many better phones out there for a lot less money!

n8 does everything a lot better.

n900 is seriously underpowered compared to todays smartphones and the screen uses cheap, resistive type so not as responsive. i think it only got 120mb of ram?

so it would seem that nokia need to change the os before becoming a serious contender in the smart phone market. Shame really, i've always liked nokia phones but ended up frustrated with poor os software.

Yes. Symbian is still lacking somewhat.

Hi guys and gals, just a quick question really, which one would you buy out of those two and why?

Neither. Wait for the N9 to be released.

it had 256MB which was okay for the time.
the Screen was resistive, yes, but resistive screens can be more accurate, although less user-friendly.

I'm still praying that Nokia takes up Android one day...:(
they wont. they've already said that they're staying with Meego for their high-end geekphones

the N9 hasn't got as good a camera, and may be missing other features too. All for the sake of a pull out qwerty, when you have an on screen qwerty on the n8.

The N8 is available currently, the N9 wont be out for at least 4-5 months..

If you want a phone with amazing hardware and a simple OS and arent too bothered about apps, then get the N8.

If you want apps then get the iphone4 (it does have signal issues though).

I have found the n8 to be nokia's most well built phone, the titanium shell and gorilla glass make this a well engineered phone. If you want a phone with a good camera go for the N8, if you want a gadget get the iphone.
