Hi guys and gals, just a quick question really, which one would you buy out of those two and why?
If I had a choice: Neither
It's just that more people are talking about the N900 than the N8. So does that mean that the N900 is a better phone?
The N900 is not a good phone. Its software is fairly bland and unsupported by Nokia, its hardware is nothing special. (I have one)
The N8 is exactly the same, but it has a very good camera. Other than that, its bad.
Dont buy either of them. There are plenty of far better phones unless you NEED a very good camera, which you obviously dont, as you are considering the N900
If you ignore this advice and want to think they are both amazing in your own little bubble, then get the N8![]()
Don't live in bubble, and nice to know your advice is so fantastic.
Just wanted to know which phone of these two was better. I'll probably plumb for an iphone though if I can drop on one for the right money.
Again, none of those three.
An iPhone 4 could be perfect for him (as long as he can afford it), he hasn't really laid any requirements out so its hard to say.
...and much more apps/updates/support
so it would seem that nokia need to change the os before becoming a serious contender in the smart phone market. Shame really, i've always liked nokia phones but ended up frustrated with poor os software.
For now it does...but for how much longer?![]()

n8 does everything a lot better.
n900 is seriously underpowered compared to todays smartphones and the screen uses cheap, resistive type so not as responsive. i think it only got 120mb of ram?
they wont. they've already said that they're staying with Meego for their high-end geekphonesI'm still praying that Nokia takes up Android one day...![]()
