What's my options here. Wall mounted a flat screen to my bedroom wall, but that's it, no room for DVD/Bluray player etc.

I have my PC in a bedroom across the landing, full of my movies/tv series/pron (;)) which i would like to watch on the bedroom tv.

The TV has a USB port, but it say's 'service only' - so i take it mounting stuff onto a usb and watching from that will not work?

HDMI only seems to give a picture but no sound (had to have sound through my 5.1 PC surround sound kit). So an extra long HDMI cable won't do it.

Any ideas?

What gpu does your pc take, as if your card is a newer ATI it should do sound over HDMI, double the sound options.

I think the usb is only for service repair people rather than a memory stick.

I had the issue with HDMI and people on here helped, but it just never happened! Got the picture, but like i said, the sound was played via the surround kit; which wasn't too bad at all.

When you right clicked the speaker icon and then playback devices did HDMI show up, you may need to do a reboot.

You may of tried in your original thread, but though I ask :)
