Why do people still play XBOX360 when the res is pap?

Console is 5 years old. What do you expect? About 3 games are actually 1080p, the rest are 720p and below.

People don't care about the resolution or graphics that much on consoles. They are easy to use, cheap and (for the most part) work right away. No fiddling with settings or upgrading parts.

So don't buy one. FFS.

I have no intent on buying old hardware for my state of the art cinema room.

I was just wondering why people still settle for the deal of low quality GFX in their
games play when other options are open for a more visual experience?

Such as? It's either 360 or PS3, and they're about on par really.

This is the worst "I've got a cinema room" thread ever :p

State of the art? Why do you have a 720p projector when 1080p/3D projectors are available? Other options are available for a better visual experience ;)

I'm sure a few the points you'll think of will match some of the reasons people have xbox 360s etc.

It's easy. Stick a game in, play it, finish it then trade it in. Not tied to any steam accounts or anything. Doesn't have to be connected to the internet to be able to play games. All of my friends have one to use online. No installing and then having graphical issues because of some little issue, which drives you nuts trying to fix it etc. I use my Xbox more than my gaming pc as my friends all use Xbox.

Well I have a PS3 ( I dont game on it at all) But I bought a 6870 and run this through my i7 rig into my projector into my cinema room

And basically all my mates Xbox/PC/PS3 lot just gushed

Even one of my mates who is a die hard 360 fan said his games look **** compared to my setup.

He's thinking of ditching his 360...I can build him a gaming rig for 200 and it will look such much nicer on his 1080p TV he's worked his **** off for

Hence the start of this thread. Bow now noobs who cannot see this beyond their teens:p

Nice try

720p and 1080p PJ are not 800 different

I can game at higher res and faster on PC than 360 for less

Next?:D

Well I have a PS3 ( I dont game on it at all)...why have it then?

I bought a 6870......well done

my i7 rig....again well done

his games look **** compared to my setup....really?

my state of the art cinema room....it does look good, be proud.

Really into yourself aren't you.

What do you mean the res is pap it runs games at 720p which is pretty much standard, even the PS3 doesn't have many games that can push 1080p

Ok, this could be a laugh. Spec me a gaming PC for £140 that I can hook straight up to my TV without more than 20min configuring (from opening the box) that will play any current game within 5min of putting the disc in the drive.

You ask why people still use out of date hardware? Simple

For a start some probably cant afford a gaming PC, others just want to put in a dvd and play and relax without encountering any technical difficulties.

All these are console gamers and since the current gen is still 360/PS3 what do you expect them to play?
