Does anyone suffer from strain at the back of the neck?

I've been getting it quite bad lately to the point where sometimes turning my head to the right/left and down causes a sharp shooting pain, it eases up after i give the muscles a massage to relieve the tension, but just comes back after a while.

This is obviously comes on while im sitting at my computer.

Without saying "spend less time at the computer" is there something that can help with the tension/pain? I unforunately work on the computer 2 different jobs.

actually if you spend more time on the computer, it will make your muscles more used to it. It could be you are not spending enough time on it.

Ergonomics dude - you needvto have right workspace and if you're sitting a lot, the correct chair to ensure optimum seating position can work wonders.

Also good idea to see an osteopath/chiropractor if the soreness is skeletal vs simply muscular. They can relieve painful symptoms before they become a constant source of irritation.
