I think it may have been the battery been low on charge although it was saying 26% . Seems ok today after a full charge , thanks again for your help

Still no handset yet. However, to be fair its only been a few days. I am back to the X10 Mini as I have sent the Desire HD back due to shocking battery life.

Shame, the DHD looks a nice phone... Ah well...

WTB UK Generic update! Where is it? :(

Is anyone using Barnacle wi fi tether on their X10? I've flashed my x10 to the global 2.1 and everything seems fine, have also rooted using delbuenno's link to superoneclickv1.5.1, but I'm having issues using Barnacle tether.

Installed busybox which confirmed my phone is now rooted, but Barnacle seems to stall when I click start? it disables my wi-fi connection if I have it on, but just says 'starting' and my wireless devices cannot see the connection I setup. Can someone let me know what settings they are using? Cheers.

Just plugged my phone into the computer after trying to flash the 2.1 onto it last night and ballsing it up and having to re-flash it back to 1.6 and I've just got the 2.1 firmware from sues? Didn't think it was released yet.

I'll check tonight, hopefully it is!:-)

Mine goes in to a reboot loop when wireless and GPS are on together for some reason.

Things I have noticed whilst using the phone today. My call volume was louder and clearer.
I love the new keyboard.
Also liking the new phonebook.
Not keen on the new browser but I have not messed with the settings yet.
Email is better as you can bulk delete now.
Lock screen is far more responsive.
Seems faster and smoother.

Just need to sort this rebooting issue now :(:D

edit...
Also WiFi seems to eat the battery now. Its not been on all day and battery was at 67% when I got home. In an hour and a half its gone down to 36% since turning on the WiFi

What region was your old firmware?

I checked earlier today and there was no update, I'm on UK generic.

Anyone else having problems with GPS on the global 2.1 ?
As soon as I turn GPS on the satellite flashes a few times and the screen freezes and the phone reboots ?
I have re-flashed 4 times now, so it cant be anything I added to the phone. Also the battery is fully charged. Doing my head in now...

I gave in and updated to the global 2.1

Not too impressed, just looks a bit more polished. at least i can start using so applications now that i have been wanting to.

Although i must admit, the touch screen does seem more responsive.

Surprisingly updating to the global 2.1 was painless:-D

Although 2.1 wasn't the magic I was expecting... Must admit though the new lock screen and keyboard are brilliant compared to the old versions.

Nice changes to the handbook as well.

Has anyone tried the hd camera yet?

Dose anyone have any recommended 2.1 apps to try?

As Electroshadow said, 2.1 was very easy to flash (global generic). Seems laggy at first but like many others, it starts to fade and become quite nippy. Just tried a sample HD video and tbh, wasn't that great. Will try some more later.
