I've had enough of the old beast and am thinking if I can afford it to get a nearly new on finance, however there's usually ads on tv for new cars with 0% apr with a deposit.

Do nearly new manufacturers/garages offer the same kind of deals ?

If so, does anyone know of any going on at the moment ?

Most of them do "interest free" you just get a 2007 ex-fleet Ford Focus for £17999.

Go for it.

(9 times out of 10 you're better off getting a car loan from your bank ;))

I think you're approaching this all wrong. Start off by defining a budget and requirements, then take it from there.

Looking for a car based on whether it's nearly new and has 0% finance is a bad place to start.

Someone has to pay the interest because finance houses don't take risk for free. So, in this little equation there's the dealer....and you.

Guess who comes off worse?

I found a nice 0% finance deal on AUC from Suzuki if it was no more then 3 years old and you were paying 30% of the price as a deposit. :) They are around so have a look

every time i keep passing the local vauxhall dealer they are advertising "5 years 0% interest finance" on all used cars, not sure if it's nationwide though!

Probably, which is why I came to you trusty people on OC ;)
