Brilliant! This kind of thing happens all the time. Barristers do it all the time, we challenge each other to insert particular words, phrases, song titles, poetry etc into submissions.

It helps to relieve the boredom.

The cop has done nothing wrong, he was just entertaining himself whilst giving evidence.
