My PC currently uses DVI to the monitor. If I plug in my HDMI cable (connected to my plasma) the screen on my monitor goes blank, and nothing appears on my plasma.

To get the picture to show on the plasma I have to reboot the PC with the HDMI connected.

Is there any way I can get the picture to show on the plasma without rebooting?

Thanks.

i dont know anything on this, but did you turn off your system, before plugging in the hdmi cable to your plasma from your pc? maybe this is the problem

Or

try to use your pc with only the hdmi connected to the plasma (turn off your computer first!) if that works, turn it back off, connect the dvi from your monitor, turn back on your pc and see whats what, if that doesnt work, then i think google will be happy to try and assist you :)

either way, goodluck.

Right click desk top and display settings. Then select which monitor you wish to use.

right click onto Nvida control panel/ Ati Catalyst/ Onboard screen options, and enable the screen in the settings.

I'm guessing the OP may have problems clicking into anything seeing as he has no images on either his plasma or monitor :p

o/j.

when u reboot do as reilly says. also check that the correct res settings are being detected for both the plasma and the monitor
