Haven't you got an 'M' missing from every instance of '5870'. The mobile variants' naming scheme is already confusing for many - try not to make it more so.

Ive had a play with one of these recently, an absolutely amazing laptop that easily competes with those closer to the £1500 price range. Build quality is excellent and the screen and keys are fantastic.

Certainly a laptop I would buy if in the market for one.

I think the 5870 in a laptop is more comparable to a desktop 5770 part, maybe ever so slightly faster.

I believe the 5870M uses an underclocked 5770 core, though that might be my memory being wavey...

The mobility 5870 has 800 stream processors versus 1600 in the desktop and it also comes with much lower clocks, so it is approximately comparable to a 5750 in desktop terms.
