New Red Dwarf series announced

They are going to ruin it.

I can't see them only throwing a £10 budget at it like they did with the classics. They'll have too much money to play with an then ruin why it was good in the first place :(

I never seen a problem with any of the series, I watch it for the fantastic acting and great gags not how poor the set was, that was just a bonus.

I loved Red Dwarf all the way through!

I still think Series 7 is one of the best, Duct Soup is one of my favorite episodes.

there was nothing fantastic about the acting in series 7 or 8, actually it was horrific at times in comparison to 1-6. i see 7 and 8 as very much a degenerated version of what was the original cult series. Calling it fantastic...jesus no, i cant agree with that lol

This was announced in October 2009 at Dimension Jump 2009. Although they said it would be released at the end of this year :(

It's also supposed to be funded by Dave

EDIT: They also asked us what we wanted and everyone said live audience

I have to say, I'm with a lot of other people on this one, let it go, it was good in the day, but now, they throw money at it, they give it polish, they get in teams of 'comedy writers', and they come up with a pale immitation of what was once a great show.
 
Has this cash cow ANY milk left in it udders ?

Leave it alone the quality has always been in a general downwards direction , no more please
 
It's only happening because people are asking for it though :confused:
If they've learnt some lessons from back to earth it could be good, Robert Llewellyn has been very positive about plans for it to date.
