Jaguar XF Black Pack

The figures posted seem to be a mix of 0-60 and 0-62 from looking at the official figures.

From the range the 3.0 petrol is crap, its a rubbish engine and doesn't suite the car at all. The 5.0 petrol is nice in a wafty sort of way, the 5.0 XFR is mental and ballistically fast especially through the midrange were the supercharger really tells.

The diesels the 2.7 v6 was alright but not that quick, the 3.0 v6 is on par with the x30d, the 3.0 v6 S is on par with the 535d.

The E60 is a lot lighter - IIRC its even lighter than the equivilent E39 and mine books at 1605kg (Though in reality is a bit less).

A manual E60 530i 07-09 model will crack 60 in 6.1 seconds.
 
I've got the brochure somewhere, hang on.

Edit: LCI 530i manual is 1605, exactly the same as the E39 before it. Not bad going really.

That's fair, but I guess I just expected the 3.0 V6 to be quicker to 60 than a diesel Leon?

The Leon FR is 8.2 to 62 XF is 8.3 but as I've said the 3.0 v6 is by far the worst engine in the range and is still pretty much the same engine as was in the S-Type. The diesel destroy it performance wise and looking at the stats and the difference between the 60 and 62 speeds all but the 5.0/5.0 Supercharged are shifting to 3rd between 60-62.

Meh, at the end of the day it's more of a passing observation, I 100% agree that it's a wafter and doesn't require a good 0-60 time. :)
 
Nothing wrong with the petrol 3 litre in them, its not fast but its quick enough.
 
It's like a combination mish mash of a Lexus and an Insignia VXR-ish.

The M6 is a beautiful car, certainly prettier than the XF(R) but the XK-R has a certain place in my pants, however :p
 
The XF is such a beautiful car, but coming after the X-Type and S-Type, a kick in the balls would be beautiful!

The white XF with the black pack looks stunning, a realy nice looking car without being OTT or anything silly!
