Hi, I have an old Omega, but trying to find out what it is a proving difficult.
It looks pretty plain and has no identifying numbers or names so unless I open the back to see if it has a code, Im stuck.
It could be worth nothing, but Omegas are normally fairly expensive even the cheapest models.
Anyone able to take a guess at it?
Thanks

It was an elderly relatives so I doubt its fake, but I'm assuming probably from the 70's or 80s. Or alternatively does anyone know a friendly forum I can ask about this without having to trawl a huge FAQ on asking for help.

Could it be an 18K model ?

They date from around the 1940s according to websites on classic watches.

Looking at the pic, I would guess that it pre-dates the 70s but I am no expert.

its not fake, fairly sure of that

ask here

old dress Omegas are not hugely valuable, what it is made of will be the most important factor, if just gold plated then could be as little as £150, if solid gold then much more

Looks like it's late 70's - 80's. The only way to be sure is to take the back off and look for the calibre number. It should be a snap back so you'll need a knife. Be careful and don't apply a lot of force.
