I just dont understand why developers insist on rehashing things then somehow nerfing them to their original counterparts.

I personally am not expecting anything too great from this.. time will tell.
 
Interesting move, I'm guessing this falls under their new price structure so you can "pay" for extras like weapons etc.
 
Bleh, a nice gesture, but if it doesn't add anything new I'm not going back. I was sick of all the bugs and grenade spam years ago. It also says 32 player, so I doubt it's actually BF2. Perhaps it will be a new game, or maybe it's BF2-lite.

Also, updated graphics? It looks like they swapped a few textures and models for equally outdated ones. Looks no better to me.
 
So this is the breaking news.

Its good i guess if you don't own bf2. 32players is a bit lame.

I'd rather 1943 then this though but a free game is all good.
 
so pointless, let me guess 2 maps max..if it has wake island il play else it can gtfo.

and 32 players? eek...half the fun of bf2 was 64players wake island/karkand spawn spam trying to get out of the base or get to the first cap from the ship....lol.
 
Soon there will be so many Battlefield titles nobody will know which to play!!

I'm not liking what DICE are doing atm i will be honest.... Just give us BF3 that has all the good bits from BC2 and Bf2 & charge us £4.99/month for it !! The cheapscates can play the Free Bf2.... that way every1 is a winner!

Least then when subscriptions drop off they'll rush to get a patch out and actually listen to what we want.... rather than what their overheads are telling them!

I think they canned BF3 a long while ago, and they are just using the fans of BF2 to make us buy the BC series.

BF2 was china vs usa really, and in this climate thats probably not acceptable, it has to be iraq etc and in the real world, the sunni's dont have J10's lol
 
I'm clearly getting too damn cynical in my old age.

I see that and i think, pay to compete model on a game you can pick up for a fiver, what's the point!
 
They should have remade desert combat with 64 player count and all the vehicles.
Actually sod that I'm just going to reinstall it.
