god i hate beta's, even with people doing the work for dice im sure it will be broken on release.
does anyone else feel that a 32man bf2 is preparing us for a 32man max bf3?
 
f2p is a worrying trend

micro payments and the like has no appeal to me I would rather pay for a quality product rather than pay for it and possibly more in small micro payments, those developers who don't have access to vast funds to set up and manage these f2p set ups will effectively be pushed out of the market if more and more people choose this f2p stuff. I mean who doesn't already own BF2 this is just a way of milking even more money out a 5/6 year old game!!

My thoughts exactly.

If this is better than BF2, I will eat my hat.

Just another way of splitting the community which benefits nobody other than E.A's bank manager.

BF2 can be had for a few british pounds, the probable cost of a couple of micro transactions.

If they REALLY wanted to give something to the community, they would have spent the time and resources updating BF2.

Those who are saying "Shut up, it's free" are missing the point COMPLETELY and falling for the horse **** which EA/Dice are feeding them.

Surely nobody at E.A/Dice is that stupid?

That would be a blatant case of "Hey guys, remember that great game we made, well, we had to nerf it to get it on the consoles"....... "We reduced the player count as we think smaller maps make for more fun gameplay".

Just make sure people don't throw the toys out the pram, DICE have nothing to do with this, completely separate developer called 'Play4free' - http://play4free.com/

Don't expect it to be anything like BF2, there will 'abilities' for each class (if you haven't played BF:H these are things like, grenade spam, poison knife, stealth, etc)

My only complaint is the fact that we probably could have been playing Battlefield 3 for a couple of years now if DICE and EA hadnt been busy keeping the devs occupied with pointless crap like this.....
 
BF2 is ace, I played it again the other evening and it still made me smile. The graphics feel very dated and sparse and some of the vehicles are a little crappy but I simply miss the massive maps which make it easier for someone who has such limited talent at these sort of games as me. I hope BF3 is much of the same but with new and even more massive maps, ideally with 64 players too.
 
I still play BF2 daily & just start a new char when things get stale & i am happy again. I won't play anything unless it's better than BF2 & that means 64 man battles/servers & huge maps.
Nothing even comes close to BF2 when it comes to Online fps & I've said that for nigh on 5 year now.

I have to agree, never played any PC game for the same length of time, not least after pub play with mates, epic fun, just add MORE beer.
 
The spelling is wrong but try to get on Die Westerwilderjung server, It's a No nade, no grenade launcher server. Basically it's 32 dudes running around with guns all day & night trying to kill 32 other guys with guns. No nades makes it Awesome. :cool:
 
are the system requirements same as bfbc2 coz i was hoping i could play it on my laptop at playable settings/fps
