Basically it's an ignition under compression rather than spark, and uses a higher air:fuel ratio to delivery much higher economy.

SEMA CR-Z Concept, I know what the predictable response will be to that but all cars start out as a concept and hopefully that is what will happen

I changed from 1.3L petrol, to a 2.5L turbo petrol, it's saved me -£600 in fuel costsand it's worth every penny, lol.
Petrol and turbo'd petrol is the future for me.

Several people I know have brought diesels purely for cheaper tuning, ie would rather have the 1.9pd audi a3 instead of the 1.8t as the derv can be tuned well for much less.
