Well I could say exactly the same. I think the majority of the times it doesn't look great but if the person is slim in build, reasonably tall and the jeans are skinny/slim fit it can work
I really don't like black shoes and blue jeans... I think it just looks wrong and disjointed. I'm sure there are some exceptions to that rule, but most people certainly cannot pull it off!
You mean if you're a skinny indie bender then yes, it can work to make you look like more of one![]()
I suppose you could pull those shoes off like you say, with tight black jeans and a taylored shirt, it would look a bit Emo though.
I am with the OP.
Jeans and shoes = wrong
That statement is so wrong I don't know where to start!![]()
You do know that not all shoes are formal, right?
What do you all wear when out on the town if not jeans and shoes?
Black or dark jeans and black shoes is what 90% of people wear when out in town etc.
That made me laugh because I just happened to watch The Apprentice and it coincided with what the chap on there said about Manchester. "If you go out in Manchester, you still have to wear shoes!"
I hate wearing smart-cas shoes out clubbing.
with jeans, always brown shoes
lol at some of the replies.
Of course jeans and shoes go. It's all about having nice shoes though...

Loafers just look terrible in any circumstance...
You're probably all thinking of horrible bootcut jeans with some skanky asda shoes.
I'm talking with reference to 'going out' though.
