True. You thinking of off-loading any current players? Might out O'Shea and Brown if I can get decent amounts for them and find some good enough replacements. :p

I always keep both and only off load them when they get older.

O'shea isn't amazing and nor is Brown but they're both very solid. Brown is normally my first choice RB for my first season or so, normally bring mini samba Neville 1 through at RB :)

And I'm just waiting to see if Bassong signs from Spurs on a free as well!

Noooo, Babel and Bassong were free, £0, nothing, free transfers. Just saying also got Macheda & Santa Cruz on season long loans. :)


Oh also got Pires and the mighty Dida signed up as they were free agents. :D
 
Having not picked up a FM game since '07 I'm sorely tempted this year. I was disappointed with '07 but i've got the FM itch again.

Steam is downloading the demo now, hopefully by the time I get to actually sit and enjoy it the full game will have a few more bugs sorted out.

The major annoyance I had with '07 was the team talks. United could be 5-0 up against Dagenham & Redbridge and the wrong team talk at half time could see you draw or lose the game. I assume things are a little better 4 years on?

Got to be an AI bug then, I cant see any logical reason why the AI would intentionally sell Babel for nothing. Probably just an early release glitch.
 
I think if you threw away a 5 goal start as United against Dagenham you were doing a lot more then just a bad team talk :p
 
Just got Van Nistelrooy for 2.5M, he wants to go into coaching and I figured he's good for a couple of years at least. His stats are awesome.

I couldn't resist! :D
 
@ KezmanHis stats look distinctly average, although you can't complain about a freebie :)

I recommend Nolan Roux. He is available for under 5m first season and will accept a low salary. I signed him for West Ham, he won premiership player of the year and finished second top scorer behind Rooney.
 
So what's a good database size?
I've got a Q6600 @ 2.4GHz with 8Gb RAM. I don't want the game to be too slow but I want plenty of players to be able to trawl through!
