its that time again... show us your fireworks!

Psh, fireworks should be about lighting each one individually and having that nervous realization that the firework isn't quite straight and you're not sure if the fuse was lit or not. Getting a big box with one fuse is just cheating.
And, where are all the Catherine Wheels? They're the best!

to bloody much one of the mothers at the local school was telling me people have been going around her estate selling those display fireworks that cost 150+ for 25quid each though.

guess they fell of a lorry
 
just got home from Lewes in east sussex, OMFG! great prossesion through the town, my god those bangers they throw in the street are loud !
i got hit on the knee by the fragments of a banger.. left a mark like id been hit with a paintball and me m8 colin got hit in the eye with banger fragments while sitting in the lounge of our m8s house on Lewes high street :o he had to go down to an ambulance to get his eye washed out :/ health n safty realy is out the window down there but it was a top, top night though.. the main firework display was, well, too good to try to describe tbh.
as for my fireworks... bought 6 rockets to let off tonight (saturday) got a box of 4 superior and a box of 2 panther rockets (like the OP :) ) from absolute fireworks

cant show the superiors as theyve run out stock so advert/video isnt available :(
also got 10 chinese lanterns :D

Which society display did you go to? We went to Waterloo and the bonfire was bloody massive, the wind kept blowing licks on flames right near us and people were trying to run away, was crazy! Awesome night though, the parade was excellent and those bangers were bloody loud.

They reckon there was a turn out of 60,000 people this year, definitely believable, was heaving with people.

Makes a change from spending close to grand on fireworks for the garden like most years, will probably go again next year.

we went to the commercial square free display behind tesco, was my first time in Lewes for the fireworks and il deffinatly be going back :D
 
OP, what was your King Hell like? Boyfriend runs an off-licence and gets his fireworks from that place in Batley. We let off a King Hell last NYE, was really good even though I don't particularly like fireworks.
 
Hah, had no idea there would be other OcUK'er in Lewes last night, maybe next year we can do a meet up... or at least a man-nod.

Was a pretty good parade this year although I thought it was slightly better last year, more large floats with the long strings of bangers on last year. Was still great though.

The only not so good part was the hour and a half wait in the rain to get the train back to Brighton. Next year we will definitely be splitting a taxi 4 ways :p
 
We drove there, parked near Tesco, was only about 10 mins away from the high street and had no problem getting out. We thought it would take hours!

Did you see the David Cameron float with Nick Clegg on puppet strings? Haha.

You never know, we could have bumped into each other without realising!
 
I love the names they give fireworks! I hadn't heard of 'KING HELL' before.
SATANIC DESECRATION is my current favourite. Just for the name, I have no idea what it does when you light it.

Didn't see that one sadly, I got there quite late as the wait at the main Brighton station for the train was a nightmare :( I probably spent more than 4 hours standing in various lines and waiting for things that night. Oh well, it's still worth it.
 
So why are people setting off fireworks tonight? Bonfire/Guy Fawkes Night was yesterday. Can these morons not read calenders?

Stop making my pets cack themselves ffs. Isn't one night of stupidity enough you cruel monsters?
