PC gaming is dying, just move on already.

I vote that the use of "PC gaming is dying" should be banned :).

Your thread could easily have been "wow, look at all these games coming out for PC, I can't wait!".
 
Im sick of these threads. How the hell is PC gaming dying?

PC gaming is 10000000000x better then consoles, I have a PS3 and rarely rarely touch it.

PS3 has more lag/online play problems
PS3 has much worse graphics
PS3 has much worse FPS (no higher then 30)
PS3 has the hassle of having to buy CDs/Keep CDs around
PS3 games usually have no communities compared to PC games
etc etc etc etc


Stop saying PC gaming is dying, maybe there's very few titles? Have you seen what's out on consoles? It's the same crap or less, heck, it's exactly the same crap, except they don't have TBS, RTS, MMORPGS, etc. So could you say console gaming is dying as well?

Just wait until 2011, Guild Wars 2, Star Wars KOTOR, Dragon Age 2, Half Life 3, Diablo III, Duke Nukem Forever,etc.

Those are almos tall PC excusives.
Also, Sandybridge/Bulldozer coming out soon.


Yeah, PC gaming is dying yet consoles are using 5 year old hardware and playing the same crap that we play with reduced graphic effets, fps and online gameplay.

Still even if it was another pc is dying thread you hardly covered yourself in glory. tbh the vast majority dont care for over 30fps as long as it runs smooth enough to play plus the console online services have improved over the last few years and I have many friends in ps3 and xbox clans. Yes they are using 5 year old hardware but lets face it they dont cost that much really and are easy and accessable. The games im most looking forward to are mostly multiformat from that list which I know will look better and run better but guess what? the majority of the population dont care or dont want to spend £600+ on a decent gaming set up. Dont get me wrong I paid a fair whack for mine but I gaming is really something I love so Im willing to go that extra bit. I would say that that line up shows a bright future ahead though and surely puts an end to the dying theory
 
Cheers for that link Margaret, I only knew about 4-5 of those titles coming out. Now I have lots more to keep my eye on. :)

Cities in Motion looks interesting. And Red Orchestra 2, I'd rather play WWII fps than all the modern stuff we get now.

Shogun II: Total War
Might and Magic Heroes VI
Dungeons
Diablo 3 - Can't wait for this one! Probably won't be out until 2012 though knowing Blizzard.
Dead State
Torchlight II
Contagion
Portal 2
Max Payne 3
Batman: Arkham Asylum 2
Crusader Kings II

And this is just the Exclusive list :)
 
There was a very similar list last year and the year before. Either the games didn't get released or it was very quiet. I've never been one to look at what might be released next year, I'd sooner play what is here now. So if all of those games came out next year then play them rather than look at 2012 etc. For me, at the moment there is nothing apart from console ports that interests me.
