I can pick up a EVGA 1gb 460gtx for a good price but will i be able to SLI it with my inno3d 460gtx 1gb?
Clock on the EVGA slightly higher but wont that decrease when i SLI? or will it not work? would like to make sure before i buy!
thanks
Marc

It will work no probs. But i think it will downclock both cards to lowest denominator core/mem card.

thought it would only down clock the highest card to the same as the lowest card? well atleast it will work! ill just overclock them both. Thanks!

im 100% sure clock speeds have to be the same in SLI. just i dont now what exactly they goto.
Cards must run at the same speeds, you'll have no trouble mixing brands :)
The drivers should downclock the faster card to match the slower one.
NO, I will repeat one more time, hopefuylly last time :) No clock speed change is needed in SLI since nVidia with their *cannot remember* revision allowed asynchronous co-operation. It means 650/2000 and 600/2100 card will work as 650/2000 and 600/2100 in SLI @latest drivers, or as 600/2000 both @OLD drivers (18x.xx ? can't remember).

Most people repeat *old* SLI requirements, but they usually have one single card :)
