What has happened to men?

Man bags seem to be very popular in Japan and Hong Kong from what I saw. Its only a matter of time before they are just as popular in Europe... Think of the children!!!

Man bags = stuffed with vinyl and/or a cow (to eat later), possibly explosives, certainly beer, and no i-Anythings

All other bags = wimmenz (also i-Anythings)

london is fashion victim central, always has been.

This wave of pete doherty look alikes and ******** appalling dress sense as in the pics above is nothing new sadly. But it just makes it easier for the discerning gentleman to stand out in elegant wear from the plebs

Thank god I'm not fashionable

Combats/proper fitting jeans for me thankyou
Plain t shirts in man colours White/black none of this pink or lilac nonsense
Earrings. Ffs no I'm a man ffs

I find it quite funny that people actually do dress like that, it's like some fashion designer somewhere is taking the P out of these people.

Because you were annoyed by his earrings

oh yes, that is bad, i was in a que in painsburys, and this bloke had a diamond one in each ear, now if i was a violent bloke, i would be doing time

What an interesting life you must lead that you found the time to be offended by a strangers earrings in a supermarket queue.

Vote with your wallet ffs! Fashion is the inverse of individuality.

A mate has a man bag in which he carries his iPad.. and yes you could say he's a bit of a midlife crisis bloke but then he has a 24yo gf too.

People are confusing sexuality with really crap clothing TBH. This thread has nowt to do with gay men, and lots to do with straight men becoming strangely feminised and where these sartorial crimes will end up.

Someone mentioned that it's only a matter of time until a man skirt turns up in shops and I don't doubt it!

Funny thing is that the real oldies of society often wear things from the last fashion period they where comfortable with, so if my generation will probably be standing in pension queues wearing hoodies, jeans and Reebocks/DCs...how the Hell are these guys gonna look by then? :D

it frustrates me when I see MEN wearing skinny jeans. They look completely ridiculous.

Now to add to their retarded look you get the ones with the low crotch as in the picture above.

so many lols. Normally walk past muttering 'victim'

This talk of skirts provides an excellent example of how gendered clothing is artificial and transient. People are freaking out at the idea of a man wearing a skirt because it's such an extremely feminine item of clothing.

Today.

In this country.

There are plenty of times and places where it isn't or wasn't. The most famous example would be the foundation of western culture - ancient Rome. Where the standard item of clothing for a man was a simple short dress, the masculine version of the tunica*. It had to be short, too. The skirt part of the dress had to be above the knees to be properly masculine. Trousers were a foreign item of clothing only worn when it was very cold. Then there's the uniform worn by Roman legionaries. If you called them effeminate, they'd probably have laughed at you for being such an idiot. Or maybe beaten you senseless.

* Not a toga - that was formal wear for male citizens only and it got to the point where it was so unpopular that a law was passed requiring male citizens to wear it in public (the law was widely ignored).

Get it right, you'll be wearing a skirt and carrying a handbag when you're queuing up. :D

You'd be hard pressed to find anyone who actually dresses like the catalogues, especially ones like H&M and those ones.

Though I don't see anything wrong today's male fashion, give me a pair of skinny jeans n a hoody and I'm good to go.

Baggy/loose jeans just looks so silly to me now.

If you wanna see well dressed men look no further than people like Kenneth Nixon.

Also I love me any excuse to wear a flash suit, suits are ace. :D

It's all down to men selling out for sex.

Women these days like men who look like they enjoy playing with other mens balls more than vaginas.

So if you want to pull you have to dress like a fagger.

It's utterly backwards.
