overclockers app

There is already Tapatalk which can be enabled for VBulletin but, IIRC, it has issues and was decided not to be implemented here.

I can't actually believe people use these kinds of apps, why go to the trouble of buying a large resolution, smart device, with full web browsing capabilities, and then install an app that gives you a browsing experience akin to that of early WAP browsing.

Bizarre.

Just use the sodding web browser and enjoy the FULL web.

I find these forums really good to browse on my phone. It's a good site to visit if I only have a 2G connection.

I agree, it works really well on my SGS and xScope 6.
The text gets wrapped, so you can set a zoom level depending on how well you can read the text, and it will fit nicely on the screen :D

Idea ! A simple spreadsheet-like self protection app. Here's how it works. You put in the next upg you want to buy. Then you start to save by not buying other things. So if you were going to buy a £2.50 coffee you don't and that adds a £2.50 coffee to your savings. Sounds silly, right? But its actually a domestic self-protection insurance policy. Because you can then justify to the missus why you can now afford that new £200 gpu. ;) After all surely she wouldn't have denied you a couple of cups of coffee or that odd Mars bar would she? :D

What's bizarre about it? I use the XDA app on my Desire, its a much better user experience than browsing their forum in the full browser on the phone.

Im sure I read not long back that apps were replacing browsers, especially on the iphone

People seem more likely to run an app for something like sky news or a newspaper than go into a browser, find url/bookmark or google,

Any app for here would need the support of the mods to allow access so its unlikely to happen

Because using a application is far superior to using the standard web for browsing on your phone. It also runs faster, and uses far less data, hence a faster and overall better experience. Just look ay avc forums app it completely owns standard browsing.

Tapatalk makes forums so much more bearable, the browsing experience is OK with a browser but things like the Thread poster appears right under the title so a few times I end up clicking the username instead of the thread, slight lag as the pages load etc just little annoyances but an app like TT makes forum browsing so much better.

Meh, i just browse using the web on me desire, fits my screen perfect and I dont even need to zoom most of the time. cant see it being much use like any of the other apps like facebook and youtube that cut content out and are buggy and slow.
