Linkin Park - A Thousand Suns

The one track I do really dislike on this album and will generally skip is Wretches and Kings. Bloody hate it, I don't know why I just dislike it.

Other than that imo its a really good all round album, all the skits join the album really well together. I don't see why people hate it that much. But meh each to their own.
 
To begin with i didn't really like the album , but i've given it time and every time i've heard it again it's grown on me more and more.

yes it's not like the previous releases but it's certainly growing on me with each listen
 
I didn't like it at first.

But it's growing on me. You have to treat it like Reanimation and NOT Hybrid Theory. There's a lot of mixing going on and if you take it at face value it's not bad at all.
 
Iridescent sounds like it should be on MTM.

The Messenger is just random. It's a nice song and everything, but it doesn't fit the album sound wise. It's just wrong for LP and this album. As soon as I listened to the first couple of seconds I stopped listening and thought...this sounds like Over There by Chris Gerolmo but then carried on and turns out is wasn't. :(

Really don't like The Catalyst.


Everything else is growing on me. Well the other 6 songs that remain! :D I think I've been listening to Mike's (and stuff he's been helping produce) rapping and hip hop too much to be honest, clouding my judgement of the parts of the songs that Mike isn't rapping in.
 
Right now we've had time to disgust the album what do we think?

I'm still loving it and can't wait to hear it live next week :-) speaking of which anyone else going to any of the UK dates?

I'm getting ready my listening the the last LP gig i went to from 2008, some really good memories.

Ohhh, I'd forgotten about this thread, much like I'd forgotten about the album after my second listen through. I think your use of the word "disgust" was quite appropriate :D

I hope you enjoy your gig, but personally I won't be listening to this album again (voluntarily).
 
Linkin Park have got an advantage in that they have already committed the greatest crime against music. They can never drop lower than that crap they did with Jay Z, good god that was bad.
 
Less than 24hrs until i'm at the O2 seeing them live.

And as they WON best live act at the EMA's it's going to be good :-)

Used to be a massive LP fan back in the days of Hybrid Theory, and Meteora.

This pile of dung is almost unlistenable.
 
This album still isn't a patch on Hybrid Theory but i'd take it over any of their other work.
 
Its grown on my quite a bit actually. I posted in this thread previously with negative words, but it's not all that bad.

Not a patch on Hybrid Theory (10 years old now!!) or Meteora.
 
Going to see them tonight. Had to stoop to getting seats as one of my mates has broke his leg lol. Still should be good got lower tier seats right by the stage so. Also got my Blueroom barcode for 02 customers :D so got a nice place to chillaxe while the crap support acts play.

Should be good. They were awesome at the MK Bowl :)
