Syke does Chamberlain get any good??? I started my traditional Saints game and the coaches think he'll be prem quality in a few years (seen him play and he finally started to look good against dagenham a few weeks ago) but I was wondering if it was just hype, like a few of the reserves players we've had the last few years...

On the plus im on my 3rd save (seem to start several games in different ways to see how it goes) with my mums local team of St Albans! The blue square south has never seen so many crazy signings (none are of players iv ever heard of as they are lower league and irish frees) still its strangely fun being the bottom of the footballing world in the game

So, I'm starting off with Man Utd as usual, sold and bought the usual players I go for.

Carrick,
Hargreaves,
O'Shea,
Kusczack,
VDS,
Owen,
Couple more that I can't remember

Left me with a fair bit to play with;
Fabregas (Ridiculous sum of money, but he's worth it)
Hugo Lloris (To Replace VDS Long-Term)

That's sum's up my transfer window so far, shall wait to see what January brings.
Only just picked up the Community Shield, I dominated chelsea for the whole 90 without scoring, but won 3-2 on pens . Sat at 5th in the league after some points thrown away, just beat newcastle 5-0 so it's back on track

Spent a lot this season, although as usual sold a fair bit for it.

The majority of that was on three players, but they are all there long term hopefully

Lukaku is so I have another 'Complete Forward' and a long term replacement for Zamora, Henderson for Murphy at MC, and Shawcross to replace Hughes.

Rest of it is bulking the team, and a few more youngsters as normal.

Didn't really need to let go of Schwarzer, Greening, Maresca and Ibiric, but the first two held a fair whack of wages, and the last two asked to leave in the end, and got decent values considering what was paid.

25 games unbeaten as spurs now. I won 24 and drew one.

I stand by the dont change your team dramticaly stance.

Can you imagine irl if you sold about 10 players and bought in 12? It just wouldn't work.

I could quite easily sign 3-4 players and not need any more, but I like going around and finding young players that might get in the first team.

I did manage to win the title with stoke in FM 2010 keeping a solid core of the team. Did take 3 seasons of slow building

I finished my first season with United last night, 3rd. I started quite well but then just couldn't score and drew a ridiculous amount of games.

I always miss out on free transfers, is there a way you can get alerts if someone is available or do you need to keep checking expiring contracts?

I believe if a player is on your shortlist you will be alerted at the 6 month point. Obviously, you'd need to identify players in advance and hope they don't re-sign. Other than that, I tend to check at the start of a season, at Christmas, and at the end of a season using player search. Since most players sign at those points in the year it's when you can find a few bargins (or spot a few to keep an eye on).

Guessing filters will help you narrow it down to what your after and then shortlist them that way.

15 Yellow cards in my previous European match, I brought nani on at half time and he was off within 2 minutes

won premier league, scottish cup and league cup as rangers, failed in both euro competitions though, the scottish leagues rep dropped 11 places even though i did so well, finances are still poor gonna have to offland a few players i think.

I shortlist an insane amount of players. I shortlist every U21 over 1m in value and every player over 5m in value
