USB 3 Cards

Are they all the same or do some perform better then others?
Am looking to add USB 3 to my PC so just want to be sure a cheap card will be as good as an expensive one.

What are you connecting to it? Find out if there is a recommended chipsets/ card for that particular device

Initially a hard drive but I dont want something that only works well for certain devices. I am looking for something that is good across the board with USB 3.

They all use the same chips that most motherboards are using so compatibility shouldn't be an issue, just make sure the card is 4x PCIe so there's no bottlenecking.
